Do you share your connection with any other computers in the same household? Any large uploads or any bandwidth intensive things happening at the time you are experiencing these outages?
As for my speedtest, the connection is actually 1Gbps but none of the test servers really support that.
I cannot really find any fast 1GB speed test files. Here is a 100MB file from cachefly:
The fastest 1GB file I could find quickly is half as fast (there side)
But the answer is 1GB in 23 seconds. Would have been half that if there server was fast enough.
This connection is not being shared in any way and no major downloads on this one as this is for my Trading PC.
I have got one WiMax connection as well which is for my laptop and I do the downloading there. Both connections have unlimited download plans.
1GB in 23 seconds !!! It takes many hours for me to download that size data file.
I wonder, with that kind of speeds, how much Disk Space you might be having. As you can fill up a 1 TB hard drive pretty fast.

I use them for trading, so disk space is not really important. Bandwidth isn't really either, it just comes with the network. Latency and reliability is the important consideration.
As for your issues, I can't really be of further help other than to say to find your local gateway IP (run ipconfig) and ping that. If you are having connectivity issues to your gateway then the problem might be between you and it, which presumably isn't far.

Ya, latency and reliability are extremely important for main trading pc internet connection. I will try to see what could be done on that front.

You could consider running your platform (or at least DOM) from a VPS. Contact @sam028 for help. Then no matter what your local internet troubles may be, at least your orders are safe.
