I'm brand new at this. I'd like to hit the ground running, and I think I can do that with a few well-timed books. Please indicate your favorites-- the ones that really enlightened you and inspired/created your method!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Here is a short list of books I've read and recommend. I am not a big reader of books in print, I tend to prefer on-line methods... but nonetheless, these are great reads and contain a lot of information that helped me.
You might want to consider the merits of walking first.
Generally speaking books aren't that great at explaining how to trade. Mostly because trading is a living, moving thing and books are static.
Videos and live trading demo's are a better medium but there's so much fake stuff out there.
If I had to pick books it would be:
1- Markets in Profile by Jim Dalton
2 - One good trade by Mike Bellafiore
3 - Golf is not a Game of Perfect by Bob Rotella
4 - No BS Day Trading by John Grady
5 - The Hour Between Dog and Wolf: How Risk Taking Transforms Us, Body and Mind - John Coates
You may notice that one of those is not a trading book, yet it is still the best one in my opinion.

It is a fascinating and yet scary thought that a day-long, year-long risk taking activity such as trading can have lasting effects and changes on our bodies and minds, not necessarily for the best.
In fact, taking into account the absolute harshness of the trading adventure from the start ... It really has to be worth it. But who could possibly know without getting there.
