Webinar: Mike Bellafiore (SMB Capital) - The Future of Trading
It is my pleasure to welcome Mike Bellafiore from SMB Capital to futures.io (formerly BMT) for a webinar on Tuesday, November 12th @ 4:30 PM Eastern US.
The topic of the webinar is "The Future of Trading - The Multi-market, Multi-product, Discretionary, Quant Trader".
Mike has also authored two popular trading books, "One Good Trade" and "The Playbook". We will be giving away ten autographed copies of "The Playbook" during the live webinar event. You can find his books on Amazon.
His techniques were also mentioned in The Daily Trading Coach by Dr. Brett Steenbarger, one of my favorite authors and books. Mike also regularly appears on CNBC.
I have just discovered Mike's new book, the Playbook, and just read synapsis and thinking this is a must read book, shared it with a colleague and he tells me Mike is doing a webinar on futures.io (formerly BMT)! Can't get better!
I will listen to the recording....I can't handle some of these guys talking about themselves anymore...have to fast forward thru some of these presentations.
Lets hope he stays on topic and talks about the "Future of Trading' and not the past.
I could fill a banquet hall of former successful traders (some 7 figure) who are no longer in the business. Too many of these presenters can't stop talking about themselves or the glory days. The last TopStep presentation was brutal with self promotion.
I look forward to watching the recording and I do respect what he has achieved at SMB Capital.
He is new for futures.io (formerly BMT), but I explained to him very clearly we do not allow secret sauce, act now, special promotions, etc during futures.io (formerly BMT) webinars.
If you are talking about "Understanding the Game" (the last TST webinar on futures.io (formerly BMT)), I am surprised by what you said. Where you there for the entire webinar? I was naturally, and I distinctly remember them going out of their way to not make it promotional. There were a lot of questions about some of TST's services, so towards the end I asked Bob to just group everything into one and answer it. Up until that point, he was going out of his way to not be promotional, as he understands that is very important to me w/futures.io (formerly BMT) webinars.
Naturally, there are some futures.io (formerly BMT) webinars that are strictly promotional, and are labeled as such. They still offer value to those who specifically wan to learn about the products or services being offered by futures.io (formerly BMT) site sponsors.
I also want to mention for all of the "I'll listen to the recording" guys. Just bear in mind, this actually hurts us. What happens is the presenter looks at the number of people that attend the webinar as a gauge of interest. If we only put 150 people in seats at the webinar vs 500, then that is bad for us.
So if you want futures.io (formerly BMT) to keep putting on webinars please do your part by attending them live.
Mike B. was interviewed on Michael' Covel's podcast in September, if you want a preview. He did talk about "himself" and his past a bit but mainly because the interviewer asked him about his background and his journey to how he got to where he is now.
