I would get the Samsung. I have not had problems with mine. Excellent SSD.

On my next visit to the States I need to bring back some new SSD's for one of my workstations. Stumbled across this website when looking at reviews to decide if I should get the 850 pro or not.

UserBenchmark: Crucial M550 256GB vs Samsung 850 Pro

I like the site.

@GaryD,

Can't believe how much improvement one can get by just replacing a hard drive on the same computer with a $105 Samsung SSD 840 256GB. Running NT on this computer is now at least 10 times faster, much quieter, and 30 seconds or more loading charts now loads in less than 2 seconds.

Best yet, with the Samsung CD kit and a SATA USB cable, installation can not be any simpler for dummies. This $105 expense is heck of lot less than a monthly supply of stomach acid remedies.

Cheers!

yep

Gary,

I have been running same system with AMD almost all day for about 3 years with 2 vid cards and 4 monitors for trading.

Could you please post what video cards you use and what type of hard-drives ( any SSD ? ). Have you tried it with NT8 yet? I'm trying to figure out a good spec for a new machine running NT8.
