I've used six 24" monitors (1920x1200 16:10) for a few years, but with the move to Ecuador decided to sell them and change to three 30" monitors (2560x1600 16:10).
My container hasn't arrived yet, so for the last three months I have only just one 30". It's a nightmare!
Please share what size monitor you have, and if it's 16:9 or 16:10. I absolutely prefer 16:10 for trading. A typical 16:9 monitor would be 1920x1080, 16:10 would be 1920x1200 giving you more usable resolution height, but not ideal for watching movies --- which I don't do on my monitors.
6 24" 1920x1080 monitors. I got them in stages and ended up with 4 LGs and 2 ASUSs. I have them in a 2x4 configuration (2 above on a stand and 4 on the desk).
I have 2 workstations (both built by yours truly). 2 of the monitors are on the older workstation and I am working towards making them double duty with the newer workstation so that I have all 6 of them for my charts during trading hours and after market hours, I can switch them back to my older workstation.
As I've simplified my life, the monitors I use have stayed the same, but the number of charts etc have steadily decreased. Every time I ditch another chart, I get to have my main chart larger and larger.
Screens are 30 inch HD Dell and a 15 inch laptop screen. The laptop screen is so nice, I'm considering just using that exclusively.
