Within the last few weeks I've had a number of issues with Rithmic, and I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. A week or so ago they had a total outage during RTH, their servers went down completely, probably for 45min to an hour, orders got screwed up and I ended up losing a small but annoying amount of money. Then today, I woke up to find that I was in a position that I never entered, something within their servers hung up and filled me in a position that was likely a stop for positions I had on yesterday, Rithmic does not use server side OCO and everything was flat/cancelled by close yesterday, so this is something on their side. Of course, this position was shown as a loss as well so I simply flattened it.
I use Multicharts.net version, and my broker is Dorman, who I like for various reasons. I used CQG on this platform a year or more ago but had many issues with them. It seems like I have few real alternatives in terms of other feeds.
Has anyone else had similar issues with Rithmic in terms of feeds and/or ghost orders? I certainly feel like I cannot continue with them, once you lose trust in something with trading, forget it, who wants to wake up to a drained account and a sorry, not our fault or liability email?
Cheers - J

Check if the issue you are having is processing of trades, you should check with your broker if you think you are flat. To me it sounds like your trades have not been updated in the back office, and this is not a connectivity issue.
Regardless of the feed you use, trades need to be processed and updated in real time. Just my opinion.

That could explain the recent issue perhaps, but then again a week or so ago Rithmic went down totally, was out for an hour or so. I had a similar issue then with incorrect showing of position after the feed died and could not flatten or close and when it came back on live I was underwater roughly $400
This time I was being shown as long 4 NQ's and underwater when they were originally shorts that were covered mid day yesterday.
I'm curious to know how this resolves for you. I'm not sure about what @mattz suggested - you should most definitely NOT have to inquire with your broker as to whether or not you are flat. You should be able to verify with your broker that you are flat, but that should be a rare occasion when you need to do that. If you are getting incorrect, faulty or incomplete information through your broker, platform or data feed, either it gets fixed immediately or I'd be looking to make some changes. Good luck.
Yes, looking for feed alternatives now, happy otherwise with my broker.
Rithmic seems to have jumped the shark of late, not sure what is going on there. Bad data, total outage, incorrect reporting of positions, failure to reset overnight now.
Yes, there was an outage last week. It was fixed in a timely fashion, and trading should have resumed normally.
We rely on Rithmic primarily right now, but have access to other feeds, and in my opinion it rather very stable, and at the same time shows good quality data. I am not taking this opportunity to promote one over another, rather say that it's never perfect. Having a set of procedure initiated when snags occur will only help.
It is rather unpleasant when the feed drops, I am aware of it. But, being aware of the positions you are in helps.
If you believe you are flat, verify it, and don't just get out as you might have opened a new position.

Rithmic was very stable last year, but now, not sure what is going on, I would rate it perhaps 5 out of 10. Losses from Rithmic problems have now totalled $1200 or so this year.
I also run Sierra Chart with CTS T4 feed, and this is unbelievable, perfect data, fast or faster than Rithmic, never drops, ever. Like a tank. Too bad I can't swap to CTS on Multicharts
We had Rithmic over Sierra for years, and recently implemented OCO orders on it and it works fine.
We did not have the issues you describe otherwise would not have used it. Not doubting the capability of other feeds, but to rate it 5 out of 10 on such quality data seems to me just a bit angry.
On that note I will end my answers on this thread as I tried to help the best I could.
