Yeah thanks tturner86
We will not forget our Swiss fellow from Ringgenberg Bern Switzerland, who died much too young.
He was indeed a rare species in the mountains making world records in a row
mostly in single attempts without oxygen and rope.
Special thoughts also to his wife Nicole (who is passionate climber) and the parents of Ueli.
His body will be buried in Nepal - the place he loved so much.

Such a sad day, another good man lost in the mountains. I meet him last year at an American Alpine Club presentation in Seattle. Such a good soul.

Would love to see the interview. Steve House did a really nice interview yesterday or the day before. There's a link on Steve's Twitter page.

After 3 day buddhist ceremony and incineration of the body - one part of the ashes left in Himalaya.
The other part is taken by the family to have another final ceremony in Switzerland with the friends
of Ueli.
Thoughts are with the family and friends

Another day and another climber down.
Mt. Hood climber dies after falling near summit | OregonLive.com
Hogsback on Hood is no joke. Also closer you get to June the more dangerous Mt Hood becomes.
