Why do you say that they don't help? I'm actually just now learning about the Schaff Trend Cycle and wonder how I need to be aware of any downsides of Cycle indicators.
It's just my opinion but these types of indicators lag like all indicators do. Usually by the time the indicator is showing a cycle change you have been experiencing it in price already. Depending on your chart, you may be at break even or even at a loss if you wait for the trend to change that way. Dan
I just upload the FINAL Version of this Indikator in the Download-Area. I remove some useless code in give some additional Informations about how this Indicator work and how to use it.
It is verry impressive for me that there is so much response about this little Indikator - and I am glad, to be part of this Forum!
Some important words about the Interpretation:
Above the upper Line (70-80) we have an up-Trend, below the lower Line (30-20) we have a down-Trend. But UNLIKE the RSI we have no oversold/overbought Situation in these regions.
To be fair, it must be said, that a Zero-Lag MACD give us faster Signals, but on the other Hand you also have more false Signals.
