Just Getting started Trading using the Ninja Trader Platform. My account is funded and there support team is not the best.
Strategy is to start with a small amount of money 1,000.00 using very conservative trades. As business is learned and success is achieved; ramp things up taking risk with earnings made. This is a long term plan to be achieved over time and at my own pace.
About me personally, just an average guy...middle class truck driver that's pretty smart with money. Have a house 2 kids and a dog.
Wish to find some resources/mentors for help getting the ball rolling. My time is limited work alot of hours and kids are young.
Quite a few of us out there hope others can benefit from this as well!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Why are you trading futures with 1,000? It's beyond ridiculous, it should be criminal that a broker is even allowed to open an account for such a small amount.
This is exactly my problem!! Need to find something I can trade with this amount of money.
My Daytime job is hauling gas to local gas stations. I see the prices change daily as a consumer and delivery guy. When oil prices go down we are busy. it slows when price go up. My previous employer I hauled food, produce and beef vary daily as well, same game different product
Goal is to learn how to trade.
IF you MUST trade, stick with microForex lots. That is about all you can afford with $1000, and that is OK.
My advice would be learn all you can, and at the same time try to save as much as you can, and get at least $10K that you can safely lose, before you start trading.
The odds are stacked against the little guy in trading. Your risk of ruin with $1K is virtually 100%.
Just like not everyone can be a professional NBA or NFL player, not everyone can trade. For those that argue you can learn the skill, it is similar to saying a 5' tall person can learn to play in the NBA. No they can't.
A person with $1,000 cannot be a trader. To be a trader, you need a large amount of discretionary money for risk capital, and be in a very good financial situation with your life to even have a chance of being in the right psychological position to be a good trader.
Best advice, close the futures account, go put $1,000 in SPY ETF with some stock broker that charges you $5.00 for the trade, and then forget about it for a few years. If you don't believe me, then just know that Warren Buffet gives the same advice.
My risk of ruin, is none!!! As stated earlier trying to make conservative trades. NOT TRYING to get rich overnight.
Investing 1000.00 to learn the trading business. Possible it takes more money to learn this unsure??? Ninja Trader sales set me up and this is there minimum. Big Mike say what you need to...
