I purchased MA7 professional a couple of years ago when they used a different pricing structure.
I paid like $1600ish for the software which included free services for one year. I think I was then rolled onto the traders services package.I used to pay an additional amount each month for the complete RRG package, however I also had access to the market intelligence charts which looks like they're now apart of the professional services( I posted some seasonality charts on here once, I think they're classified as market intelligence charts). These's been quite a few changes since I started using it.
The traders services subscription includes basic RRG functionality, however if you what the full package that also works on intra day charts then you need the professional subscription. The full package also allows you to paint bars based on RRG like in the image posted above.
Currently I have no subscription, I just have my software license. I used to be alot more into swing trading, now I'm primarily focused around orderflow. However I will sign up to the professional package some time next year once MA8 officially roles out.
They should also be introducing accurate VWAP bands at some point. VWAP bands are included in MA 8 beta, however the computation is wrong- I've explained to them how it needs to be calculated.
If you want to check it out I suggest you request a free trial. Their support team is very responsive at answering any queries you might have.
"Free markets work because they allow people to be lucky, thanks to aggressive trial and error, not by giving rewards or incentives for skill. The strategy is, then, to tinker as much as possible and try to collect as many Black Swan opportunities as you can"
So the only way to do real-time charting is with the "Professional" subscription? I guess the word "subscription" confuses me a bit. Is there some extra cost in addition to the $1188.00 (other than my data feed, which I see IQFeed is supported).
Looking a little closer, I see a bullet point for "Professional Services" at $99 a month. So I suppose the only difference between the "Trader" license and the "Professional" license is that the pro license includes 1-year of $99 services, making it a pretty big discount.
But if I am assuming correctly, that means that after that 1-year, my "pro" license reverts to just a "trader" license and I lose all the differentiating features, such as RRG charts and apparently real-time data.
Correct me if I am wrong please.
I will sign-up for a trial. I don't see how long the trial is for listed anywhere, which is concerning as I don't have a lot of free time these days for "extra" stuff like this.
