@faithdefender I thought it would be beneficial to show you the other side of the coin with the pullback method of trading. As mentioned above I was trying to get long on the daily MCL as the bull flag had formed. I insisted on a trigger for entry at $87.54 which never came. One benefit to this method and waiting for confirmation of the directional move out of the channel, is if the trade doesn't get triggered so there is no harm done. You can see the bull flag or pullback failed and our account remains intact.
It is really nice of you to post these examples. I will certainly study them.
To your last post, I agree that SIM has value, but what I was trying to say is if I dont understand how the indicators work, how can I understand how to test them in SIM? (Does that make any sense?)
I was looking at the indicator by ARPS because it displays bull and bear flags. (its not cheap plus I wish I could know before I buy that it helps) I just dont have a good eye for identifying them. It is a blessing for those who do see them because it just doesnt come naturally for some of us. I have a friend that also trades and he says after ten years he still misses them.
