Recommendation for broker/platform for scalp trading Futures
I am looking into trying to trade Futures. I have a paper trading account with TDAmeritrade so I was trading Futures with ToS. I think that ToS is a bit clunky and some people mentioned that if you are trying to get just a few ticks at a time (scalping) then ToS isn't a good platform to use, and also TDA has higher than usual commissions.
I am wondering for anyone that has tried scalping or does it regularly, if there are recommendations for brokers/platforms?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I would recommend Sierra +Rithmic or X Trader (Now could be fee based per transaction)
Thanks,
Matt

There is a risk of loss in futures trading. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. You may lose more than your initial investment. All posts are opinions and do not claim to be facts. Please conduct your own due diligence. Use only Risk capital when trading Futures.

Indeed TradeStation is great...we would be more than happy to offer that if request.

How much volume are you looking to trade? If you're say just doing 300 round turns a month, then any of the normal brokers, IB, Infinity, etc should all be fine.
If you're doing something north of say 2,500 and need X-Trader, then probably best to reach out to one of the shops out in Chicago to negotiate the volume discounts.
