Can anyone recommend a good and affordable squawk service to keep up to speed with the latest breakout news, data etc?
I have done some researching online, and came up with the following.
- Livesquawk
- RANsquawk
- TradeTheNews
- Sigma Squawk
- Talking-Forex
Out of them, Talking-Forex is the most affordable (20GBP per month), but it covers mainly forex-related news. I need a service that covers macro/stocks/forex/commodities/financials news, which the other services cover. However, they are in the hundreds of dollars/pounds per month range, which is a lot for a retail trader. Thus, looking for a more affordable and quality squawk service (not delayed news).
Any suggestions please?

I use Talking Forex, already mentioned in the thread. Despite the name, they actually announce news and economic data releases for the most important markets, such as European and US equities indices and bonds, Oil as well as currencies.
- Talking-Forex is RANsquawk, they cover macro in the FX package and e.g. bond auctions.
- a good set of twitter subscriptions gives you 90% for free (you can even make it talk with some client-apps)

I use https://www.financialjuice.com/news/ its real time and free. They have adds on their website, some not much, but I don't have that tab on the screen. I just listen to it. They only talk when there is something to say. Quiet vast majority of the time.

- TFX seems quite reasonable for the price.
- Been using TweetDeck to have a news feed beside my charts. Great way and it's FREE!
- Financial Juice seems good too. Just lots of Ads everywhere which makes the screen really cluttered. Would have preferred more voice announcements though.
- TopStepTrader chat room is ok IF you need a chat room to discuss trade entries/exits. Would prefer more factual news provider.

I threw together a quick low quality video review of Financial Juice and how many adds they have on screen..... I count about 2 per screen, 1 line about 5 or 6 words with "Promoted" following it and a rectangle box in the left bottom corner.

@Blash,
I have been listening to the the financialjuice news squawk for a week, and there has been an obvious delay of at least 10 seconds. e.g. at 9am on my ( accurate) clock, with a new bar already printing, the guy says " OK, 10 seconds til the close of the hour ". His FOMC report was way late also.
Have you noticed this ?
It's not caused by any lag on my end. And their text news alert is actually very speedy.
I listened to their tickstrike also, which I like, but I am presuming it is also delayed (but this is more difficult to quantify).
I can only guess that the audio news delay is deliberate on their part.
Perhaps they plan to charge for a non-delayed version ?
