Not sure if this is your issue but I've run into this same problem and reported it into NJT. The end result was that one of the indicators was using a Draw Tag whenever there was an EMA cross. When you run Optimization, it can create thousands/millions of them and eventually suck up all the memory. So I removed the Draw Tags from that Indicator and the Optimization worked.
