If you are looking for a single strategy I would hands down recommend one from a group of my mentors: John Richardson. He is methodical, exacting, accurate, honest, even-keeled and solid as a rock. Pick up the phone and call him. You will see what I am talking about quickly.
What he teaches is going to be hard to learn and take you years. But it works. It's simple but not easy. Straightforward.
If you are looking to understand the complete universe of option trading yes I would highly recommend Tom's Tastytrade. Even in small doses you can't go wrong.
Find a group to mentor you. Build a network for yourself. Going it alone is a newbie illusion and ends very badly.
Just understand what you are getting into. Trading in general, as a vocation, is going to take time and money to become proficient.
The only way I see trading working out for someone is if they are bitten by the trading bug. I mean, you have got to love this stuff because the personal growth curve you will be exposing yourself to is steep. With this love you will be able to dedicate time consistently to trading. And by trading I mean the complete spectrum of what it entails not just executing orders.
