Ninja trader and Interactive Brokers Lyte Question
I'm having significant difficulties connecting the Ninjatrader-8 to the TWS by API, is the 'IB gateway' is a better option than TWS or the best and highest opinion is TWS comparing to 'IB gateway' API connection?
In case another data-feeds connected to the NT8, alongside TWS shared data by API from InteractiveBrokers, then what will my EUR/USD chart or other FX major pairs will show fo the price for me if the price and candlesticks patterns come out differently between TWS-shared data feeds to NT8 and the second data feeds that is connected to the NT8? e.g. Assuming I'm on the 4H chart or 5M chart for EUR/USD, with the last candle, is [Open/high/low/close] as [1.1/1.3/1.0/1.2] in one data feeds and from TWS and the same candle data from secondary data feeds if its [ 1.1/1.2/0.9/1.1]? As if the second set of data considered for the last candle, it turns into a Doji cable that can play a crucial rule in direction of the trend, while the first set of data will not be that crucial, thus we actually have two data feeds with two different candlestick patterns. What will be the outcome that NT8 will show me as a result, a Doji candle or non-Doji candle? Is this make sense or shall I make any extra explanation?
Also, Mr @NinjaTrader could you fix the issue of connecting the TWS to the InteractiveBrokers as I connected the NT8 to IB broker's TWS, which will take 3 hours and a half to be able to receive a full working feeds from TWS for one FX pair? I'm on Fiber connection with a 60Gbps dedicated connection to the NT8 and IB's TWS on a fast a Xeon-2276 branded CPU+128GB of RAM on NVMe. Thus, I believe whatever the issue is, it's only on your side, its or TWS or NT8 that can't connect properly to each other?
May I ask all the order types that are supported in the NT8-IB-edition, will fully be supported on the TWS, and IB will be able to fully process them? or there is a possibility, even small, that orders get sent by NT8 will not be executed on fill/Take-profit/stop-loss/etc etc parameters? I mean are all the transactions that NT8 do send to the IB's TWS is 'Atomic transaction(S)' or not? e.g. Can an order be sent by NT8 get filled but the slippage/take-profit/stop-loss information wouldn't get submitted, thus do I need to check the orders if the transactions for orders between NT8 and TWS is not Atomic transactions? May please answer as accurately as possible Mr @NinjaTrader ?
Assumptions: Considering the IB-Pro account we have with TWS connectivity by API available.
Thanks in advance
Best of luck
