Baruchs - I used your strategy and it works great. Do you think you can post a version that doesn't output two indicators. I know this is the power of this method but I just need OHLC data and I imagine all of the MACD and EMA stuff is slowing it down.
Not a big deal either way as I can always delete the additional columns. I wish I had a better understanding of programming so I could make simple changes myself.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Can any one tell me how can I export values from each bar , OHLC with exact time for, opening, high, low and close of every bar ..is it possible ? for example if i load a daily chart It should export 8 values , Opening value, time of opening, high of the day , time when it happens , low of the day , time when it happens, close of the day and time it happens..
Can any one help me on this
Thanks for your help
Edassery
Thanks for that,,its easy to get opening price, closing price and of course the times for that ..but can any one help me on the other half of the problem..
Thanks
There is only one BarUpdate event for each historical bar. So there is only one time value, which is the time that bar CLOSED, ie LAST TICK OF BAR.
To get the times of occurrence of the high and low for historical bars you need to check every price level in an added one tick dataseries, using Math.Min and Math.Max to see if the previous intrabar highs and lows are being exceeded.
Then when a new intrabar high or low happens, you save the time value in a dataseries.
