The opening bell - 9:30am to 9:50am
The first 20 minutes of the day are the most volatile of the trading day. While this is the most dangerous day trading time zone
Portfolio Re-balancing - 3:30pm - 4:00pm
I tend to recommend traders not trade during the last half hour of the day
I couldn't agree more, exactly what I said.
It seems that some are ascribing this quote to Silvester when it is from an article I posted. The only part that is Silvester is the "I couldn't agree more" part.

dude , you're giving away our trade secrets
its a good thing these guys dont have a clue what you're talking about when you say 9:30-9:50 (world-wide institutional orders hit the floor) and re-balancing
and why to monitor the so called doldrums to see who is accumulating or distributing and wait for the programs to hit
have a good weekend and c ya at the bell
Hi Gio,
You are very good and experienced trader. You have lot of ideas to do trading, those are only suits to you, as you have adopt them according to your need and style so I think there are no chances for giving away trade secrets. But those are very dangereous for new traders as new traders only saw one face of mirror but you have ablity to look on both sides. In my opinion the new traders must stick to limited number of charts and techniques up to certain time, that may be more than a year so they make a good image of market moves. For those charts Indicators, guidence and price action support available on this forum with out spending money . I am trading mostly TF and some times ES. Most of time I took my 1st trade in 1st 20 mints as that period have high volume of day so less chances of failure of technicals, as compared to same technicals on low volume time. Overnight / Globex session and previous close always provide solid clues about open moves.
