Lucky winning streak this week.

I have decided NOT to push the position size for now as it affects my process and psyche adversely. Hence, it's currently under $500 a day.

Since my confidence in my system is growing (with more prudent risk taking), I can only expect my sizing to grow but will let it do organically, on it's own pace.

Progress report.

My slow grind continues. I'm posting less so that I can try new things without much (perceived) pressure. Beginning to see good results.

I trade more actively now as low VIX and price above 20/200 MA is NOT conducive for my earlier strategy of buying @ open and holding till EOD.

I had a bullish bias after a gap down open below Y-L. The thesis was gap closure (70% likelihood) and a bullish daily close but lower high (60% odds). Expected ATR 30 points.

I executed my bullish bias really well and it started with buying the bottom @ 4396 and then final exit 4425. Almost the LOD and the HOD. Perfect. . Not going to explain the individual entry/exit in this busy chart as it's technically ONE BIG trade. I also reached my max size of 5 MES, but only after I'm in green with good risk management.

Proud that I was able to squeeze 80 points on a fairly narrow range day without risking too much. Hoping to have more days like this.

Long 86 & 88. Scaled out @ 96 and final exit @ 02. Total + 24 points

We had a surprising big gap down open below Y-L. (low probability event but bullish to trade)

Price action was very similar to yesterday. Once again, I did well in picking up @ the LOD but lot less aggressive today. Finishing up early too. Ideally, I wanted to hold till EOD and also load up on pullbacks but they were quite shallow during the 20 points leg up from 86 to 06. Hence decided to NOT chase the price and also call it a day for early weekend.

I thought I got out of my long quite early but we ended up having a lot of drama later in the day. I must say I was very surprised with new LOD and the ease with which sellers were able to drive down from 08 to 82. Not sure what this means for next week but my longs will have tight leash for sure.

Perfect execution day!

Trade thesis was test of Y-L of 81.50.

I took some heat from my 1st entry but my later scale in/out was at perfect locations of support and resistance. Once again, I was disciplined till the 30 pts ATR was hit and profit taken. Total of +46 points.

In addition to making money, I want my entries and exits to be @ 'beautiful' locations.

P.S. I did try 1 long attempt, later in the day and stopped out for 3 points but it was planned trade with a good RR but didn't work out. No regrets.

I had a short bias yesterday which didn't work out.

As I mentioned in Salao's journal, it was distracted trading and I couldn't babysit my position. Infact, I was literally babysitting my twins, 9 months old. Hence I switched from active to passive trading style and let my short from 88 stay till EOD. Infact, I let it stay overnight as well as I felt that the pullback wasn't quite finished. Luckily the PB is happening now and just covered it @ 08 for -20 points loss even though MAE was much worse. The original plan was to risk 8 max. No regrets though as I didn't add to my loser.

Unfortunately, I have to travel again to Canada for a month for a new assignment. Hence, trading will be less active but still hoping to do my homework everyday and place bets.

My execution skills are much better today.

My stats were bullish today.

I did well in ' the waiting game' for the 1st 15 minutes as EMA crossover signal wasn't there. After the green signal, I went long @ 06 and then added @ 08.

Primary thesis was gap closure and I was patient and unperturbed by whiplash below 10. Then perfect exit @ 16 & 19. Profit = +21 points.

Secondary thesis was higher high @ daily level above 25.

Next trade, which is still goin on, is long @ 14 during PB and I added @ 13. Though it went deeper till 09, I held on and just off loaded 1 @ 22 for +8 points. I stll think 28 is a reasonable target and hence holding on to my last position. I am still bullish and hence happy to pick up during pullbacks below 16 but only until 09.

Thesis 1 - Gap closure (after gap down open)

Thesis 2 - Making higher high in daily.

Execected as per plan. Did I say I want my trades to look beautiful?

My stats are mostly mixed with a slight bearish flavor.

I decided to short but wait till gap closure as the probability of that happening was over 75%.

Executed as per plan and short 22. Scaled in @23 but the next hour was very choppy. Hence scaled down again.

I wanted to see some weakness first and once it happened i.e lower low with good volume, I scaled in @ 16.5.

Not too confident about this trade though and hence a HARD stop, which I rarely use, @ 28. I may bail out even sooner if delta and relative volume becomes bullish. Let's see

Not an easy day to trade due to choppy first 2 hours. Though it's a breakeven trade, many positives.

1. Initial patience in starting my short thesis.
2. Only shorting the bounce.
3. Not getting whipsawed in the rangey PA.
4. Took the risk of holding my short till support @ 24 and minimised loss.

In hindsight, I should have played the long game from 4410 to 4424 i.e 14 points as the gap closure odds were high. Instead, I aimed for 4424 to 4400 and it didn't work out. My stats were neutral rather than bearish and hence ALLOWED me the possbility to trade both sides. No harm done though.
