In your first post, you did not mention that you use Kinetick with NinjaTrader 7. NinjaTrader 7 is an outdated program that does not receive any more updates. Possibly, the Kinetick adapter has not been improved for years. Why don't you simply switch to NinjaTrader 8. I switched to NinjaTrader 8 about 5 years ago.
Quite obviously, our experiences are quite different. You are driving an oldtimer which cannot be easily connected to data feeds and broker interfaces.
Thanks for your message. As per my previous message, I had the same issues with NT8 also. While we could debate all day that the problem sits on my side, MT4, a program that was launched in 2005 (mt5 released in 2009) remains connected 24/7 to servers. Any drops are quickly met with a reconnection attempt. Same experience across 10's of brokers over the years.
That said, NT7 is still supported and the reliability of the connection issue is not one that should persist, especially when it's known. The engineering load on NT to write a workaround could not be considered extraordinary, especially not for a mission-critical function. The connection drop is recognised in the logs, let's imagine (IF disconnected unexpectedly, THEN reconnect). I think we can hold Ninjatrader to a higher standard for their preferred data supplier.
The original subject of this thread is unauthorised transactions from Kinetick as well as the unhelpful and unwilling attitude of customer service. Customers should stay away from Kinetick on this basis alone even if they are capable of delivering a reliable service to some, which bare minimum.
