Perhaps the guy is good, I don't know, but he is charging a lot for his group, 250/mo and another plan at 625/mo. I'm always wary of when people start making more money from teaching to trade than trading themselves.
Also, here's a screenshot of his twitter, where his pinned post basically says he lost all his money trading, but doesn't say how he rebuilt his wealth besides "love of a good woman and faith in God", so I presume that is around the time he started teaching.
Perhaps trading is just different from other industries. A football coach doesn't need to have been a star player, a vocal coach doesn't need to be an award winning singer, so what qualities does a trading coach really need? I always assumed it meant that they were making lots of money actually trading, but maybe it's something else like in those other industries.
Some people want groups where the leader just calls out trades for everyone to copy, and those just don't exist. They are all losing groups.
So I'm guessing that the PaxTrader group is more like a support group, where they teach methods, analysis, discussions. Not calling out trades or posting screenshots of fictitious gains in sim accounts.
I'm not in Pax's group yet but it's on my list. I'm in 5 groups now so I'll join later when I'm ready to learn something new. I will say he's the real deal though.
