I connected before, but this afternoon I am getting an error on the Dukascopy-NT Bridge .. my connection fails and I have the following as the error notification .. my 14 days definitely hasnt expired
"PKIX pathbuilding failed"
XPpro x32bit SP2, newly installed NT7R2 Bridge v 1.1.2==(never was able to get a newer version downloaded)
Any others have the issue?
TJ
update ... darn ... looks like the connection cant be made with XP PRO ++ NT7 combo... I can ONLY use the login successfully on a Win7 ++ NT7
I saw on Dukascopy site that to use their FIX API there's a $100k minimum deposit required. Multicharts uses their FIX API, is the same for DNT bridge?
Thanks Stem1. Here is the clarification to your questions.
To use historical data from Dukascopy with Ninja Trader, we need to convert the Dukascopy's historical tick data into Ninja readable format and then import the data into Ninja Trader.
As DNT Bridge demo is available for unlimited time, I don't have exact number about how many people are using it at the moment. By looking at the queries I get, may be 40-50+
DNT Bridge development is already completed and DNT Bridge is ready to use on Dukascopy Live account. You can use it with your micro account also. You don't need to have 100K in your account.
Dukascopy Demo accout expires after 14 day bu you can create new account after 14 days again and again. means new Demo account is just few clicks away.
No time limit to use DEMO of DNT Bridge. When you install DNT bridge then you can use it on live account also for 30 days. Even after 30 days, you can continue using DNT bridge on Dukascopy Demo account
In case of loss of connections, DNT Bridge tries to reconnect 3 times. If it fails to connect, It waits for 10 second and tries again 3 times. If it can't connect then you need reconnect it manually on clicking on Connect button.
Even after disconnecting and connecting again, DNT Bridge handles orders placed before disconnection.
if you exit the DNT Bridge and start again then order placed before exiting the DNT bridge won't be handle by DNT Bridge.
To use DNT Bridge effectively you just need reliable internet connection. Keep DNT Bridge running. Make sure data feed is ON in DNT Bridge and Order execution is ON. and all orders from NT will be send to Dukascopy.
Order modification/cancellation will also be send to Dukascopy.
In short: DNT Bridge should be running and (connected to Duakascopy of course)
Thanks Trader.Jon for reporting this.
This error occurs because of certificate issues. I am working on fix for this to find machine and OS independent fix for such errors.
Stem1,
For live trading DNT Bridge has 30 days limit.
To use DNT Bridge on Dukascopy Demo account, there is no time limit. You can use all features of DNT Bridge for unlimited time on Dukascopy Demo account.

Is there an option to enable the DNT Bridge to keep trying to reconnect untill it is successful (like NT)? I live in Far North Queensland at the end of the line and my experience with Gain and IB shows some disconnections can last hours.
Also, because the profit targets and stop losses are held on Duka's server, is it correct that once these have been placed I could be disconnected indefinitly and the PT and SL would still be executed?

I'm not familiar with this process, is historic tick data standardized with all brokers or does everyone do it their own way? Could some exitsting method be adapted? I have found it somewhat critical for tuning Automated Strategies to use the same ECN/Data for trading as for testing, this narrows the gap between historical and live trading.
Ok guys, this is probably my fault, cos I have posted same questions here, but the vendors are not allowed to talk about their products and of their functionality. I will leave the posts @ToolsForTrader has made to now, but please do not post direct questions, if u have some, please PM directly to the vendor, and if you would like, report here your suggestions/finding experiences with the product.
