Thanks for your suggestions redratsal. I downloaded the Channel This and Double MA, also the MAV compiles, but Channel This will still not work in an indicator. Also the DoubleMA will not work in a strategy. They are both giving the same error I listed above.( "'Ninja Trader.Indicator.MAV' is a 'type', which is not valid in the given context") Both indicators list code lines like this in Variables: private NinjaTrader.Indicator.MAV.MAType mA1Type = NinjaTrader.Indicator.MAV.MAType.HMA; Somewhere …

Yes. At first the idea didn't workout because I was looking at the old Mav.indy instead of the strategy Bertrand sent. Once I discovered my error I added his fix into my strategy and now at least I'm not getting any errors. I now need to toy around with Bertrand's fix to make it work with my idea.
