Hello Mike,
You're in my prayers. Wishing you a speedy recovery. When it starts to itch.....coat hanger works best.

Although this is no help to Mike at this point, it may help someone in the future.
My main business is a Dog Walking business, so although not a common thing, dog fights can occur.
Major rule. Don't try and grab a collar of a dog in a fight. You will likely have the same result as Mike had. What you should do is first try for the tail, and if no tail, the hind legs, and lift, getting the whole hind end off the ground.
You won't get hurt, and neither will the dog, and usually it's enough to stop the fight.
A less preferred, but equally safe method to the human, is to kick them in the stomach. Not hard enough to do damage, but it gets their attention, and can equally stop the fight. This might sound harsh, but it beats the heck out of getting badly bit.
First method is better.
Pete
Or better still, let them fight it out and settle it out; don't get between man fights, dog fights, chicken fights, etc, better to CALL THE POLICE

How does that compare to TapaTalk or Dragon Naturally Speaking?

Taptalk is for phones to be able to access websites. Dragon naturally speaking is probably better but I didn't want to spend $100 to find out.
The one I'm using is included for free with Windows 7.

BM,
Hopes and prayers for you ... I have a lady friend that took a motorbike spill instead of rear ending a hastily stopped auto ... about the same type of damage to her left pinky finger.
It does take time .. about 2 years and 2 surgeries for her ... today is about 90% recovery but will never be 'perfect' again.
Heal well Mike,
Jon

Well guys it is bad. Just got back. It is broken, chipped, fractured and dislocated in multiple places.
It might also require surgery due to a tendon not letting go.
I have an appt with an ortho surgeon tomorrow afternoon. Right now the er clinic doc couldn't set the finger, because of the possible tendon problem. So it is still balled up sideways like in a fist.
Had to call six places just to get an appt tomorrow. Also they are reporting it to animal control, which really upsets me.
A very bad day for me. Plus I am supposed to be finishing painting and moving this week, and now with a broken hand this becomes very hard.
Also I have no health insurance, so very costly. Not a good day.
Mike
I wish I lived closer to ya, bra... I would help you move...
