my way would be now :
- delete your jtEconNews2 in the ninja-script - Indicator-folder.
>> Control Center > Tools - Edit NinjaScript - Indicator - choose file - delete
- delete all your jtEconNews2 - files you have downloaded yet (for not getting mixed up with all these / diff version)
then download the one you like to have fresh again + do the following :
Saroj
copy or save your .cs.file to My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\Custom\Indicator (or ...\Strategy if a strategy cs file).
from the Control Center, Tools - Edit NinjaScript - Indicator (or ...-Strategy if that)
double click (open ) on any file name in the list that is displayed - it doesnt matter wich one
when it opens to show the code, press F5 to compile it.
This works because when any cs file is compiled in NinjaTrader, it compiles any and all other cs files that have been changed since the last time it did so.
this should work.

Attach the indicator here so we can see the name of it in the code and NT7 users can test it.

Open up the indicator code in Ninja editor, go to line 53 -- the description block where it says "jtEconNews2a - Display upcoming......". Change the text inside the quotes to something like "Sleepy Indicator". Don't use any punctuation or non-standard characters.
F5/re-compile, check again.
Also check your Log tab in Control Center.

Hi max-td,
When I go ....
Edit NinjaScript > Indicator > Edit Indicator
The file jtEconNews2 already exists
I doubleclick and it opens ... I then run compile and resave as jtEconNews2
However when I go onto Chart and select indicators (CTrl I) it doesnt appear in my list of indicators
At no stage do I get any errors.

Sleepy did you find it? I had the same problem but found it. When you go to add an indicator to your chart I found it as a blank white indicator (no name) at the very beginning of all my indicators listed in NT7. Maybe you already found it, but that was where mine was! It is just invisible to the list of indicators.

JT Puts in blank names under this.Name in the Initialize method section of the .cs file.
So there is no name listed in the indicator chooser, as it is the top one and is displayed as blank.
The fix, search for this section:
protected override void Initialize()
{
this.Name=" ";
Change to:
protected override void Initialize()
{
this.Name="jt Economic News 2";
Or what ever you want in the quotes.
Tricky, Right?
