For those trading futures with TOS, are you using the NYSE cumulative tick? I think I got it here, a 5 min chart for the day. If there is a "better" way in your opinion to depict this data, please share. I had not previously used this information before, but I clearly see its value... Thanks.

With respect to TOS data, can this be relied upon, and if not, why?

EDIT / ADD: I just heard back from TOS. Oddly, the first response was that they didn't provide NYSE tick data. I heard back from someone else, with this:

"On the Think or Swim, $TICK is indeed the NYSE cumulative tick data. We do not alter it in any way."

So, straight from the exchange...

TOS has a couple of other indies to watch the ticks. In the TOS studies are Tick_Fade in the lower panel and Tick_Fade_II in the upper. The upper panel plots the red/green dots at 1000 and -1000; the lower panel clearly a histogram with horizontal lines @ 800 and -1000. The lower panel needs the +800 moved to 1000. I can't remember if these are TOS studies or I found them somewhere along the way. I might have googled them.
