I was wondering if anyone could tell me which news announcements typically influence the s&p. I see the listing for news announcements and sometimes nothing happens, other times the market goes crazy for a while. I have simply been avoiding trades near announcements, but some more definitive idea of what is likely to be signifigant would help.

Hi, Dale. If you click the link below, that shows you all the reports coming up for the week. You can click on selected reports and it'll give you a summary along with the perceived importance of that report.
Thanks Gio, I'm not interested in trading the news, I have a trading system which works very well. But I have been avoiding trading at news events because of the volatility, however some news events don't cause a ripple.
