Maybe not a best practice but I'd consider that something else having to do with your specific acuity especially if you repeat it all the time.
something else like: experience, ability to observe & learn quickly?
--what else could be?

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity....
I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.

Definitely not.
Well...maybe bad luck, which is what you get when lack of preparation meets lack of opportunity

I disagree
-- just buy one contract without preparation
wait 10 min and sell it
if profit = good luck
if loss = bad luck

Actually... lack of preparation will pretty much decide your fate ... period ...

If you do this you are just a gambling, not trading.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity....
Every trade set up is nothing more than positioning to get lucky.. so luck is def involved, but the ability to recognize opportunity and to position for it takes skill, so its both.. You cant deny the luck element or it would be saying you have control over the market by your skills..

but trading is bit like gambling
--you're making a bet that what you believe will be true in the future
and you don't know what future will be
