Magazines make money by selling ads and by selling subscriptions to foreigners. There are no mega bookstores here, where you can read US magazines.

Mega bookstores make money by selling a lot of useless stuff. Smaller bookstores go bankrupt.

If you look for TASC articles, simply buy a subscription. The DVD contains over 3,000 articles, but do you really want to read 3,000 articles on a computer screen or IPAD? The magazine is most convenient and is rather inexpensive.

Actually the mega chains are having financial difficulties.

I subscribe to TAS&C but I think I prefer Active Trader more because it has a more quantitative approach and most of the techniques they discuss include backtested results. However, TAS&C is better at providing code relevant to their articles though across multiple platforms.

I have read both for years and really enjoy them. But I have never found anything in them that I have incorporated into my trading.

One benefit I did get from TAS&C was downloading the source codes related to indicators in the articles . I never found an indicator that I included in my trading plan, but I learned a lot about writing code.

I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.

I do use some stuff from the TASC magazine, which had been presented by Sylvain Vervoort in 2008.

Couldn't find it

Some magazines have put all their back issues on-line at google books such as Popular Science
[algae farm for alternative fuel 1968 - wow there is an idea that's been kick around for a while! LOL]

I first found their link by emailing them and asking and they sent me the link (just an idea)
