Can anyone point me in the direction of an indicator that plots supply and demand zones for tradestation? Don't feel like paying 20$ monthly for one that doesn't even capture all the zones.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I trade on Ninja, and have free 3rd party software that plots Supply and Demand zones. A friend uses Tradestation and is hugely envious, and wants the same. So, afraid I can't help you, but if you come across something, I'd be grateful to know about it. Also, given that there is such a thing for Ninja, maybe some guru coder on this site could reconfigure it for you for Tradestation, if it is open source. If you find that opportunity, please let me know.
I find mine to be HUGELY useful; if imbalance has created a zone, I'll go respectively long or short at the 8EMA (some call this the T-line) following the zone, assuming trend (34 DEMA and 100 SMA), momentum and higher time frame momentum also line up.
Hawkeye makes a zones indicator, which I believe they license from APA zones. I've just written to them to ask if it works with trade station 10, but I haven't gotten a response yet. I'll post here when they respond.
Hawkeye Zones is supported for tradestation 10, however it's pretty steep at 800 dollars. The company that makes the Zones indicator you originally mentioned is charging 199 for a lifetime subscription, and the designer is very approachable and helpful.
Hawkeye doesn't really have a full feature list on their website, it's more of a landing page telling you how awesome the indicator is.
In my opinion, the High Tech Trading company makes a solid S&D indicator. I'd be willing to invest in the Hawkeye if I could see some stats on the product, but the truth is it's a relatively simple indicator.
The indicator plots supply and demand based zones from various time frames on the chart. It also adds a context menu item to the default Ninjatrader context menu to hide and show active and broken zones.
