Currently I'm running an automated strategy that uses stop orders to enter and exit the MNQ futures. The orders are currently held on the TradeStation Order Execution Network's Stop server. According to TradeStation this setting "guards against rejected stop orders." I'm not sure what that means exactly. In order to reduce slippage I want to try to uncheck the option to always hold stop orders on the TradeStation Order Execution Network's Stop server. As far as I know CME allows for stop orders to be held on their servers. I'm wondering what your settings for stop orders are and why?

1.) Curious, does your automation include anything but a pure "buy" at a very specific price i.e. 3900.00, and 3900.00 only, and did not vary under any circumstances? 2.) Is there a "take-profit" order involved?

MaryJ, can you report back on your findings? Did you try unchecking the option and did it reduce slippage? I believe I'm experiencing something similar with my automated strategy.

Regards,
Shooter

@Flash Gordon: 1) no, but price did vary 2) no

@Shooter McGavin:
Unchecking the option did reduce slippage. However, I experienced several times that my stop orders were ignored by CME due to high volatility (CPI, PPI, interest rate decision).
