Chris Capre - 2nd Skies Ichimoku Review (www.2ndskiesforex.com)
I am proud to have Chris Capre coming to futures.io (formerly BMT) on Wednesday, November 16th @ 4:30PM Eastern US and giving a presentation that primarily will focus on Ichimoku trading.
Chris Capre is the Founder of Second Skies:
Welcome …
Hi,
Based on your introduction, I contacted him and after an enthusiastic promotion of his services via email communication, I signed up for his pro forex course. My initial entry and introduction to the course didn't exactly leave me impressed or inspired and to be frank, disappointed. This was relayed to Chris and after some additional communication back and forth he has offered to "work" with me over a couple hour sessions to restore my confidence in what was told to me via our initial communications. I have not heard back since but we will see...
I did say I would start a journal here once he had trained me up to report the results real time so that others may see if this can deliver as originally told to me..
I did say that my interest was the currency and index futures and Chris said the methodology would be for these instruments ...so stay tuned and I will report back...
I paid for the Price Action course and so far, I like it. Some things are simplified. The rest is pretty good. And he's not charging $5000 for a money-making machine.. ehehe. He's only charging $399 and you can see some people in the forum who post their screen shots after making an order so you can check it out for yourself to see if the profit target was hit. Most of them get hit.
Since most of the course is focused on 1 hour to 1 day timeframes, it's much more laid-back and less stressful than scalping 8 pips intraday. I haven't tried the Ichomuku course, even though a couple of people on other boards have mentioned that it is the best course. I'm happy with $399 for the price action course.
Update: Chris is a nice guy, and a very good speaker, but I never got used to his trading style, especially his counter-trend trades. I followed his site/forum for about a month or two and then stopped altogether. Can some of his trades make money? yeah, for sure. But some of the other setups will get you slaughtered or some extreme DD.
I wish he, AND all of the other educational providers out, would put up some 3rd party results.
Well, the user impressions here at futures.io (formerly BMT) regarding the 2ndSkiesForex.com courses seems to be quite mixed. On the other hand the users at FPA seems to be quite positive:
I am still diving into the material as I have to arrange my learning schedule around a busy job and my family living. But I have to update, that I have signed all three courses offered by Chris Capre in the meantime (Advanced Ichimoku, Advanced Price Action und Pro Forex).
Of course I would not have done this without a very good feeling about the advanced Ichimoku course, which I bought first.
From my current understanding I would rate the courses as follows:
Advanced Price Action: Most content, precise system descriptions, good statistics and for sure a good source to dive into PA
Advanced Ichimoku: Also precise systems descriptions but less content and less statistics compared to the PA course. I would for sure recommend it, when you are sure, that you want to learn more how to really built up trading systems within the Ichimoku system.
Pro Forex: Some double content with the PA course. Compared with the two other courses I would rate this course a bit lower. But still ok, as you can get additional insights in additional promising looking systems. I would not recoomend the Pro Forex course as the starter course with Chris. But as you win experience with and trust in Chris still a good course.
I case some people with detailled questions here, I am prepared to answer as good as I can ...
I also purchased the Advanced Ichimoku course after viewing Chris Capre's webinar on futures.io (formerly BMT). I did not find the course worth while. Rather than teach principles of Ichimoku he instead teaches mechanical setups for specific markets on specific time frames.
Some may find this approach to trading rewarding but it is not for discretionary traders and most mechanical systems will fail over a longer time window.
