In the wild, wild world of trading, where volatile markets roam and elusive opportunities abound, traders often find themselves in a high-stakes pursuit. Armed with knowledge and strategies, they deftly navigate the chaos, seeking to capture those lucrative trades. Like skilled cowboys of the financial frontier, they skillfully wield their 'Order Lasso,' casting it with precision and finesse.
With each flick of the wrist, the lasso dances through the charts, gracefully encircling the ideal entry and exit points. It's a tool that tethers them to profits, helping them rope in the winning trades while sidestepping the stampede of losses. The 'Order Lasso' becomes an extension of their trading prowess, an emblem of their expertise.
As the markets twist and turn, the lasso whips and weaves, swiftly adjusting to the shifting tides of opportunity. It's a symbol of adaptability, agility, and control. With the 'Order Lasso' in their hands, traders exude confidence, harnessing the untamable market forces to their advantage.
So, tighten your grip, sharpen your aim, and trust in the power of the 'Order Lasso.' With its looping elegance and decisive action, may it guide your trades to the bountiful profits that lie just beyond the horizon
In short, this new creation links any order type to visible chart plots. It accomplishes, with minor differences, what the native application Ninjatrader does, but in a more intuitive manner.
Description
The tiyfOrderLasso indicator allows the user to attach any order of type (LMT, STP, MIT) to any visible plots on the chart.
It also adds a custom grid with 3 UI controls 'Tie', 'Untie', 'Offset' to the ChartTrader panel.
The user can toggle the 'Modify toward last price' option ON and OFF, by clicking the 'Tie' button while holding down the shift-key
I have posted a short video on YouTube showcasing it in action:
I developed the "OrderLasso" indicator as a personal project to address or fulfill a specific need or idea that arose from my previous post:
I posted a new version (1.1) of my indicator. The previous version will raise an error when trying to attach an order to the OrderFlowVwap from Ninjatrader. This has been corrected.
Very interesting indicator, thank you!
Yesterday I couldn't use it correctly, my fault.
I didn't pay attention to the blue dot over the lines.. today I understood this behavior and managed to attach correctly.
One thing I noticed in using lasso with indicators from ninja's orderflow package, volume profile and vwap (weekly).
When trying to use it in the volume profile it didn't recognize the VAH and VAL lines, I couldn't link to them.
When using the weekly vwap an error occurs (Unhandled exception: An unexpected exception occurred while binding a dynamic operation).
I only have the line, no bands, nothing besides the center line, just the weekly vwap.
In this plot, the lasso recognizes it, the blue dot appears, but when dropping it on the line, an error occurs and the buttons disappear from the charttrader. F5 solves.
Anyway, the indicator is pretty useful as it is right now. Just providing some feedback
Thanks!
Yes, I see it, but the indicator draws a red/green line in the chart (not the yellow) and when I applied your indicator, it didn't detect the red/green line. This is why I was asking.
Big Money, has always reason, doesn't matter if they lose or win...
I have seen something similar when using tabs, MES on one and ES on another. When there are two or more tabs on a chart I cant attach orders properly... maybe @trendisyourfriend can take a look whenever is possible..
I installed the indicator TrendMagic and tested it with my tiyfOrderLasso tool and i have no problem to attach an order to the red/green line. This line is the only line available in this TrendMagic indicator. It appears yellow when you open the parameters window but it is colored Red/Green when it paints the chart. That's how it is coded.
To attach an order to this line you must have an order active and when you click the Tie button, you need to drag the horizontal line next to the order near the line. You should see a Dot on the line and you just need to released the mouse button to let the script attach the order.
