I use Meta Trader5 for Futures trading and its ease of use. There are dozens of moving averages and in the end I found the Moving Average indicator that most all platforms have installed is hands down the most accurate.
Moving Average along with Extremum is a good mix, Moving Average displays the actual direction of the trend and Extremum shows when the market is choppy and when
volatility is present, and of course both show when an uptrend is happening.
