NinjaTrader has an exclusive agreement with Amp regarding CQG. But if you don't use NT, you can find other brokers that work just fine with CQG Trader or CQG IC. Just not with NinjaTrader.
I got the email about 10.20pm AEST and haven't heard anything since. Spoke to amp tech support this morning who gave me the tdm@amp... email but heard nothing since.
I have had the same problem with emails in the past but i have since found that if i email tradedesk@amp and trading@amp i usually get a response during US hours (rest of the email address being ampclearing.com)
I'm willing to suffer through the occasional day or so if there is a problem because pretty happy with the amp cqg feed too, but when i have to miss 2 sessions and have no idea if/when it will be back up it gets a bit much
Not any more - Multicharts64 - absolutely no comparison when I was trying it with CQG. Now, they also have MDelta.
They are still the only broker that does that, though.
I use them for data not trading because of these problems, ie clearing/trading SPI contracts
I have multibroker NT and looking at MC64 as I was truly impressed with the stability of the product comparing to NT
Also, the MC's data handling is so much superior than NT's, not as fast as SierraCharts with IB though.
I just tested trading through AMP and same issue as you guys are having so I will be on the phone with them tonight.
You should do the same and please do not be diplomatic and rude but firm.
will let you know.
Regards,
David
There was a change to the Australian ASX/SPI trade route on CQG last night resulting in it being disabled/enabled. All traders have been updated to use this new route. If anyone experiences any problems please direct inquiries …
I spoke with Dan at AMP and he confirmed that the ASX CQG routing had changed and all ASX traders reliant on CQG had been affected. The situation is now resolved as per the post #25 above.
For Aus AMP traders, note that AMP does offer 24 hour phone support and trade Desk is staffed 24 hours. If any trade related assistance is needed, it is best to call the desk rather than email.
