Hi

I currently have an interactive broker account, but they don't allow Australians (or at least me) to have margin accounts required for shorting US stocks. I have been shorting stocks for a number of years, using different instruments (or creating synthetic positions using options), but wanted to have the ability to straight out short stocks.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks

they allow margin for corporate accounts (company, SMSF)

for an individual account structure you can consider inverse ETF's List of Inverse [AUTOLINK]ETFs[/AUTOLINK] (Short [AUTOLINK]ETFs[/AUTOLINK] / Bear [AUTOLINK]ETFs[/AUTOLINK]) ? TraderMike.net
