I applied a strategy to an intraday chart and I want the strategy to run on all days except the very first day loaded on the chart. To do this, I was thinking to add a requirement that the Date must be greater than the first date on the chart, but not sure about the best way to retrieve the first date on the chart.

mandelmus,

you could store the date at CurrentBar = 1 in a variable.

I would like to, but have not found the code to do that. I tried to use the BarNumber with BarDateTime (Reserved Word), but keep getting an error that it "should be declared as elsystem.datetime class".

Ok, just put this together and it looks like it works.

Code
Variables:
	FirstDate(0);

If BarNumber = 1 then FirstDate = Date[0];

Plot1(FirstDate,"FDate");

This looks good. Personally I prefer using CurrentBar as this is a reserved word, where BarNumber is a function. The result is the same, but in general every function will slightly slow the code calculation. Although with the barnumber function you won't notice that.

I appreciate your help ABCTG. So, using CurrentBar, it would look like this:

Code
Variables:
	FirstDate(0);

If CurrentBar = 1 then FirstDate = Date[0];

Plot1(FirstDate,"FDate");

mandelmus,

you are welcome. Yes, it would like this. You can remove the [0] for the date, as it's not needed. But letting it in won't do any harm either.
