Indicators in scanner

I'm writing an indicator for use as the criteria in a scan. The indicator behaves as expected in a chart, but not always in a scan.

I'm using daily bars. How does a scan treat daily data from an indicator when the market is open? In other words, if the market is open, is Close[1] yesterday's close, or the day before?

In an indicator on a daily chart, Close[0] is the most recent traded price, and Close[1] is the previous day's close. Is this the case in an indicator used in a scan, or is it different?

ras07,

the Scanner calculates through the last closed bar. This could cause the differences you are seeing between the chart and scanner. You could test this by having the Scanner print or display (using Plot) the value for Close[0].
