Is there a way to paste code into a Function in Easylanguage on Tradestation? I can paste code into everything else (Indicators, PaintBars, etc) but the "Paste" is greyed out for Functions. Keyboard shortcuts will not work as well. Thanks!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Hey fellow Northeast Ohioan! Welcome!!!! (I'm in Cleveland)
This is a known bug. One trader I work with has this workaround (I have not tried it, but believe it works):
This bug is known by TS but not yet resolved.
There is a way to go around it, you open a text editor like Word. You copy your text in this editor and you select the part you want to copy. You click on the selection with left mouse button and drag and drop to the TS editor window of your function. Be aware that the text block will disappear from the text editor.
Be aware that the text will move, it is not a copy. This fix work also from the TS environment to a text editor.
If you want to copy something from one function to another new function it is tricky. You have to save first your existing function with another name and then you can drag and drop from the renamed function to your function. After you can delete the useless renamed function with missing text block.
