Man.. damn. I'm sick of trying to find "stocks in play" and always missing them. I've been working with various methods for years and still can't seem to do anything but arrive at the scene once the fire is almost out. On the rare occasion that I find one, I'm able to scalp in and out comfortably. It's awesome because no fees (basically), very low and controllable risk, etc. The only real complaint beyond not being able to find the stocks to trade at the open is that they move too slow. NQ moves at exactly the rate I'm comfortable with.
I've traded futures a bit last year (micros) and was able to do the same thing, but I'm scalping within such a small range (5-7 ticks) the fees wreck my profits. I'm still learning, so I don't want to trade a full emini contract, which would account for the fees, but the losses would put me out of biz quickly.
I'm stuck. I have no idea what to do. The frustrated demon in me wants to yolo my entire account on a scratch off. Of course I'm not going to do that.
