It seems like Gomi has given us the tools needed to create a tick storage database, and I am happy to create a public MySQL db that can be shared with all Elite Members...
Just a thought, to combine GomRecorder + a MySQL backend. It seems like instead of reading a binary file to read the database would not be that much more work. The writing is the hard part, some new routines would need to be added to look and see if the data already exists in the db before writing it, but I know there are enough talented guys here on the forum to make it happen...
The obvious advantages would be a large tick database for all Elite Members to share. I've got plenty of server horsepower and bandwidth, no concern there on the hosting side.
Here's a shout out to gomi, timmyb, Michael.H, Zondor, shodson, aslan to name a few that could help with a project like this.
