Money management is a huge part of successful trading, and yet it seems that concrete examples are not common. What about starting a new Battle of the Bots, but stipulating that the each bot share the same skeleton of a strategy and buy/sell rules (say, a simple MA crossover, or whatever)? The bot with the best money management (stop placement, percent of capital to risk, etc) wins. Of course, the score would probably need to include the number of trades. Because if you started with a simple strategy, all the bots may end up in the red. Perhaps the bot with the highest profit divided by the number of trades would win.
It would be interesting to see how each bot, with the same buy/sell rules, would be affected by different methods of money management.
