I have decided to leave a lot of comfort/property/wealth behind me (for my son, i hope he will study well and make good use of it)
In the meantime, i think it is intellectually more challenging, satisfying and stimulating for myself to build a new life based on building a new life here. I have been here nearly 5 months (on and off) on a tourist visa, studying the language day to day, adapting to the culture and the day-to-day life...
My story will most likely not be as juicy as Big Mike moving to Ecuador, but i will probably face similar difficulties, moving to a new place, a new language, a new culture, meeting new friends, new rules, new laws, new stuff...
You are all warmly invited to enjoy this journey, without any risk..
Be nice, be respective, comment/ask, respect, there is a place for everybody on this planet...
In my journey, trading will take a principal role, i want it to be my major source of revenue.
I come from a supposed civilized country named Belgium, where trading/investing is seen as an activity/work of demons....
However Belgium seems to be the only country on this planet with a tax on profitable trades and no offset on a loosing trade, maybe the politicians need to step down from the ivory tower and get some first hand experience.. No hard feelings. Life goes on.. But that is not my motivation to move to Israel, but I like to remind everyone of this hallucinating real live fact.
Secondly, trading is not an activity of demons, it is not more demon than buying any other asset and selling it for a profit or lose, which is supposed to be one of the oldest professions, buy and sell..
As far as the frame and context, the rest of the posts will most likely be more technical from nature...
