First, a little background. Career-wise, I've hopped around a bit. By design, believe it or not. I was a software developer for over a decade. Then, I was a finance controller with a large (Fortune 50) company for over a decade, mostly in the venture capital and treasury investments area. Recently, I'm back to software engineering and data science in my day job. I am a technical person at heart.
Education-wise: BS Computer Science. MBA Finance. MS Applied Mathematics.
I've been dabbling in investing and trading since the early 90's. I've tried just about everything. I've always enjoyed this pursuit, win or lose, and have learned a lot along the way. Hopefully I'll be able to monetize this experience while having some fun.
I've really enjoyed the FIO community. I was a lurker for quite a while. I've been trying to engage a bit more recently. This journal is the next step.
I expect that my posts will be somewhat sporadic. I'll try to share the good news and the bad. I'm mostly looking forward to learning, but hope to share something of value as well.
