HI,
I get some private message from a trader here in BM and its look very different than how usually look plus i just got it in my mail and not in my futures.io (formerly BMT) inbox mail.
Did futures.io (formerly BMT) make some change in PM?
Thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
OK I looked at it. This appears legit. This is not a private message. It's an "email". If you have the option "Allow users to email me" on in your profile, then users can send you an email vs a private message. Your email address is not revealed to them, rather they type their message while on futures.io (formerly BMT), and the futures.io (formerly BMT) servers send it to you.
Honestly, I don't even think the feature is very useful, I can't imagine people really purposely wanting to use it over a private message. I might disable it now that I think about it.
Anyway, people should always be extremely cautious when dealing with any emails. Especially if an email has links that ask you to login (user credentials, passwords) those are highly suspect, and it is how people get phished (info stolen). That is not the case with what you sent me, it was just a guy asking about an indicator. But nonetheless, always be careful.
I went ahead and just disabled the option to email other users. It seems redundant vs the option to private message someone, which sends them an email anyway.
HI,
Thanks for the explanation.Since i start her in futures.io (formerly BMT) i just got PM,its the first time a got this kind of private email which look completely different that's why i was little confused.
