There are provincial laws that each FCM obeys by and permits accordingly.
Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. You may lose more than your initial investment. All posts are opinions and do not claim to be facts. Please conduct your own due diligence. Use only Risk capital when trading Futures.

Zen-Fire connection is still not available. Our colleagues at Zen-Fire informed that there is no ETA for launching a new API connection into production yet. As a workaround you can use CQG instead of Zen-Fire. Also we suggest to contact your broker and have them inform you about your options.
There is no national equivalent to the SEC in Canada, each province regulates it's own securities differently. Therefore, not all American brokers meet each province's distinct regulatory requirements. Stupid as that seems...
Therefore each clearing firm will be different, I'm in Ontario and can't open with Optimus (Vision wont clear for my province) but Dorman will only clear for those from Ontario, for example.
Statement from News Release:
Eliot Wickersheimer, CEO of Mirus Futures, commented, "As a leading NinjaTrader broker, we are excited to be introducing Continuum to the suite of technology products and services we have available for our traders. We strive to empower all our customers with best of breed services and technology and we feel our new partnership with Continuum further delivers on that goal."

after all the bad press,
after all the mandatory and unjust inactivity fees imposed through Mirus and Dorman for Zenfire datafeed....
after all the stress, lies, incompetence and outright stupidity of Zen and how they or whomever could not maintain sufficient programming staff necessary to minimize the downtime of whatever really happened...
after all the failed: "just one more week" excuses, or "no communication whatsoever" to the brokers who maintain the customer relationship with the traders...
after all the failed alternate means of datafeed replacement...
after having screwed with these FCM's, IB's and other brokerage agents' customers (us traders)...
why ever trust this zen-stupidity ever again?
why?
let them go the way that they sentenced everyone else to....
Depends what province that you are in, not all US brokers support each province. I'm with Dorman, and only Ontarians can open accounts with them. If you are from elsewhere I understand Optimus will help you out just fine.
Amp will open an account for you too, I've had mixed results with them.
So - several months on - I am finally downloading the Ninja / Continuum demo via Mirus (having traded via TradeStation so far in 2014).
Would anyone who has been using this combo in recent months please let me know if you are happy with it ? Or if you were unhappy with it, to which broker / datafeed did you change & is your new combo satisfactory ?
Btw, as a longtime TradeStation user, it's fine and a great, free solution except for day trading futures on fast charts : very limited reduced intraday margins & the Matrix is clunky compared with Ninja's DOM.
