Hi thr, I am Prasanna and I love trading. I choose this field because it has a solution for all materialistic problems ...
I have wasted 4 years in my academic career. All my friends finished their graduation and started earning enough money while I was still going to college. I decided at that time, I am gonna find a job that fetches me the money which I would have made in that wasted 4 years...I searched and searched and came across trading. I did masters in finance an joined a trading firm just 4 months ago...since than things are pretty good.
I trade on German Bunds Futures (quarter contract), US treasuries (2 and 10 years contracts). I made 550 euros in FGBL on very third day of my trading job but, next 2 months I lost 800 euros. Every trading day is a good experience to me, I learn something daily.
I am glad that I found mates who can share their thoughts and experiences.
Thanks and good luck.
Prasanna S B

Hi everyone,
I'm Erchis I started with studying trading when I was 18, it was 2008, and lost 18 000 CZK (about 1000 $) on Czech Stocks, but I still have the stocks . My initial capital was 20 000 CZK.
Hi All,
Been here a couple of weeks but haven't really had time to provide any input so far, but here is my situation.
I blew up about 4 months back and it REALLY hurt! must admit that I'm probably still bleeding at the moment and it is still painful to think about it. So it really made me analyse my whole trading ethos and bring everything back to the drawing board.
I have spent a concentrated couple of months doing lots of homework into psychology and money management and i must admit it has considerably altered my viewpoints on many aspects with lots of realization thrown in, i can see clearly the mistakes that i have made and the effect it had on my trading and im ready to change ( definitely not ready to trade yet though lol).
On my quest for information it brought me here to futures.io (formerly BMT) a really fantastic site full of info and i've happily been reading through a few bits, But currently i'm altering my strategy and looking to start swing trading as opposed to intra-day stuff (gets me too flustered!). If anyone has any signposts on good threads on building a decent swing trading system it would be greatly recieved.
Thanks all in advance and thanks mike for your great work here!
Somewhere today on this web site I saw a quote that went something like "smart people learn by their own mistakes and wise people learn by others". I working on improving my wisdom.
Would you share with us the mistakes you made? At the same time it might help me and others, it might also help you to write it down. I'm not asking you to share anything sensitive or personal (such as how much you lost - doesn't matter).
I am a full time corporate employee who is looking to leave the corporate world & trade full time. I have been trading with mild success for about 10 yrs. , but nothing to make a living on, not even for a dog. My goal here is to join & participate in conversations regarding U.S stock futures. ES mainly. I Have traded them in prior years but not much success , as i lacked many things including a trading plan & discipline. I am interested in anyones opinion in the Perry Method, as i find it intriquing & seems to have a good win verse loss ratio. Has anyone traded this system consistently ? Thank you Mr. PErry for providing such a great system.
