As described in the issue report I am factually exhausted by the usability with a couple of the drawing tools that I use every day.

PLEEEEASE VOTE.

Done. I personally think that MC is a great tool. But I cannot understand why it is so difficult just to draw an horizontal line. I face this difficulty every day.

Perhaps you two should try sitting straight in your chair ;-)

Thanks,

Good idea, shift to make it horizontal from the first point or ctrl to make it vertical from the first point.

Thanks,
Neil.

1. ability to change candle color and outline for up and down bars in charts and via PL. Anyone working a lot with charts would appreciate that. It's amazing how such seemingly modern trading platform lacks such basic capability.
2. ruler or similar tool to quickly get distance between candles/see price difference. Hotkey for it.
3. ability to fill area with solid color between two lines, say for ichimoku cloud;
4. ability to select GMT+/- time zone for candles;
5. chartTrader: resizable(dragable) area to see limit, oco, trail and other strategies. Also ability to change strategy view from icon to simple list (where description text is more visible) is a must.
6. ability to see Log/messages in MC itself. Right now you have to keep QuoteManager open to see what's happening with quotes.
7. customizable hotkeys for drawing objects, etc.
8. Quote manager could minimize to tray, you know why...
9. get rid of TradeStation or MT4 style parameter config dialogs with tiny scroolbars and awkward input. To scrool/locate to say variable No. 27 if you are working much with charts... consumes time for everyone, especially developers. Grid style parameter dialogs the way it's implemented say in NT7 - offers many parameter layout and grouping advantages. It's the way to go.
10. offer MC for free for development (remote trading capabilities can be disabled, sim only). Or at least offer developer license. Current 30 day trial and then lockout is somehow inadequate and will never help to create such alive code and programmers ecosystem as NT has.
11. market scanner as separate application (maybe dockable to systray) capable to run custom indicators with alert/email capability. Those of you spinning trading platform on remote VPS just for that should know what I am talking.
12. Free adapter API to implement your own historical data streams.
13. .NET as scripting language.

I have many more suggestions for professional platform (including architecture, usability, etc.) that is my experience working with many platforms and developing for commercial subjects. If any vendor is interested I can share.

Hello Andrew,

Just a comment about the ruler. In MC you can use the trend line tool to measure both price distance and bars/time.
