I use MultiCharts and TradeStation together, and compared
their usefulness to me as a team to Ninja as a competitor.
I found that both put up barriers to my progress, but
MC + TS helped me move ahead faster, and I like the idea
of security in redundancy.
Much EasyLanguage code has been written for TradeStation
which can be used with little or no change on MultiCharts.
I originally started with TS because of the large data base
available. Since TS 8.8 and 9 the TS data service works very
well with MultiCharts, which supports a choice of brokers.
Also MultiCharts will sync advanced bar types with time
and tick interval bars on one chart, which TradeStation cannot do.
So I think a repository of "legacy" EasyLanguage modules would be
very helpful. And the competition between TS and MC will keep
them both from getting too complacent and lazy about improving
the software.
