I am struggling with platform choice. Think I am narrowed down to MultiCharts or eSignal.
I plan to swing trade/day trade stocks using bracket orders as i still have a full time day job. Does Multicharts seem like a match?
With Multicharts I read in Big Mikes survey if you are using IQ Feed your order will not show up on chart unless you use IB Feed. Is that still true with Version 8.8?
Any ideas on a broker that would flow nice with MultiCharts? I want IQ Feed if it will work.
Thanks for any input.......My mind is turning to jello thinking about.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
just to make sure IQ Feed is a data provider and you would need an additional brokerage account to be able to trade with Multicharts.
What you can do for example is using IQ and IB together i.e. chart the symbol with IQ data and trade on the IB symbol using Multichart's symbol mapping feature. This way your orders would appear on the chart data even when the symbol is coming from IQ Feed.
I see several traders have this same setup. Being new to this it looks a little intimidating getting all this hooked togeather and setting up to work. Will dig deeper.
